SERIES SUMMARY
GAME 2: Dominant pitching took center stage for the first time this season with Patrick Monteverde notching a dazzling 7-inning scoreless performance with 9 strikeouts to earn his first career D-I victory. There was plenty of offense as well: Cal Conley was 3-for-5 for his fifth straight multi-hit game to begin the season, Nate Rombach produced a pair of hits and drove in two runs and Cody Masters was 2-for-4 in his first start of the season with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. Between Monteverde and reliever Brendan Girton (2 IP), the Red Raiders did not issue a walk in a game for the first time since April 20, 2019.
