SERIES SUMMARY

GAME 2: Texas Tech needed one big swing and got it from Braxton Fulford, whose two-out, three-run 2B in the bottom of the 8th inning supplied the winning runs in a taut pitchers’ duel. Micah Dallas was spectacular for 7 innings, striking out 10 and navigating around 6 Baylor hits before handing the game off to Ryan Sublette, who faced six hitters in 2 shutout innings for his 5th victory. Easton Murrell knotted the score with an RBI single after Parker Kelly led off the 6th with a triple.

GAME 1: The Bears came out smokin’ to grab the first game in impressive fashion. Baylor cracked 4 home runs and roughed up Patrick Monteverde with a 6-run 2nd inning that changed the complexion of the game very early. The Red Raiders’ offense never generated more than a run in an inning and went 1-2-3 in 4 innings – three vs. Tyler Thomas, who allowed only 4 hits in 7 IP. Easton Murrell and Dru Baker produced 2 hits apiece for Texas Tech and Braxton Fulford belted his 8th home run. But the rest of the Red Raider batting order was a combined 3-for-21.
