SERIES SUMMARY

GAME 1: There was no shortage of offense or power for the Red Raiders in one of their most impressive Big 12 Conference performances in several seasons as they bashed six home runs among a season-best 10 extra-base hits to overwhelm the Wildcats. Texas Tech produced its second-highest total in runs and hits (16), anchored by Jace Jung’s first career three-home run game. Dru Baker stayed hot with a pair of hits, his eighth game in a row with multi-hits and 14th of the season. Brandon Birdsell and relievers Micah Dallas and Chase Webster were just as salty on the mound, handcuffing K-State for 9 innings with only 2 hits allowed. Birdsell has logged 23 innings with only 4 earned runs allowed in his last four games.
